Movers

Get real quotes, know what's actually confirmed, and have a backup before moving day.

  1. Step 1 · About 4 weeks before move-in

    Get three written quotes

A real quote is in writing after a video or in-person survey, and includes labor, travel time, fuel, stairs or long-carry fees, materials, and valuation coverage. A number over the phone with none of that is not a quote.

  2. Step 2 · About 4 weeks before move-in

Check each mover before you commit

For interstate moves, look up the company's USDOT number on the FMCSA site. Read recent 1-star reviews first. Patterns of "held our stuff hostage" or surprise charges are disqualifying. Too-good-to-be-true pricing usually is.

  3. Step 3 · About 3 weeks before move-in

Choose your mover and get written confirmation

You want a document with the date, arrival window, crew size, inventory, and total. Mark this service Requested when you've asked, and Provider-confirmed only when that document is in your hands.

  4. Step 4 · About 2 weeks before move-in

    Line up a plan B

Know your fallback before you need it: a second mover with availability, or a truck-plus-labor option. If your mover goes quiet in the final week, you'll be glad this exists.

  5. Step 5 · The week before move-in

Reconfirm the crew a week out

Call or email: date, arrival window, crew size, and the total from your written confirmation. Get the reply in writing. Mark the service Reconfirmed once you have it.

  6. Step 6 · Move-in day

Do the final walkthrough before the truck leaves

Every room, every closet, the dishwasher, the attic. Sign the inventory only after you've compared it to what's on the truck.

Your dates change the order. MoveNara puts every step above on your calendar, next to the other services, and it tracks what's actually confirmed, not just requested.
